TV-historian coolein kundi eli Fonzie ajoi Triumphilla suosikkisarjassa 'Onnen Päivät'.
Tarina kertoo, että Fonzie eli Henry Winkler oli oikeasti varsin onneton pyörämies. Sarjan alussa miehellä oli Lapiopää-HD, jolla hän teloi lavasteita ja melkein itsensäkin. Tapauksen jälkeen Fonzielle hankittiin pienempi ja kevyempi pyörä eli Trumppa. Onko kenelläkään tietoa, mikä malli oli kyseessä ja ehkä valokuvaakin? Veikkaan Tiikeriä.

p.s. Lapiopää oli tietenkin kauneusvirhe, koska niitä ei vielä 50-luvulla tehty.

Ratin forumilla oli tällaista juttua Fonzien mopoista...

Cycle World did an article in their March 2000 issue about looking for Fonzie's bike. Like the link Charlie-brm posted says, they used numerous motorcycles, the first being a Harley. They then used 3 different Triumphs, the first and third ones they got from Bud Ekins. The first one from Ekins was an early 50s Trophy. It was used for a few shots, then returned to Ekins who sold it and the location of the bike is now unknown. The second Triumph came from another source, it was stolen and it's whereabouts are unknown. The third Triumph, again provided by Ekins, is either a '49 or '50 model Trophy, even Ekins isn't sure as to the exact year. At the time the article was written, the motorcycle was at Mean Marshall's Motorcycles in Oakland, California.

If you can find a back issue of the magazine, it is really a neat article. It was interesting to read that Henry Winkler is deathly afraid of motorcycles and never actually rode it. They pushed him on it. That was the reason they got rid of the Harley. It was a Knucklehead with a Sportster tank on it and it was too big for Winkler to be comfortable on, so they wanted a smaller bike. Ther is also an interesting sidebar about what happened to the Triumphs that Marlon Brando rode in The Wild One, James Dean's 500 Trophy, and Ann-Margret's Tiger from the movie The Swinger.
